Inspired by the South Korean series Operation Proposal, this rom-com ended up a sleeper hit during its theatrical release. Starring Jiiva and Natasha Singh, the film also marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam stars Sunny Wayne and Lal. Yet, this road movie has its moments that are worth watching. Gypsy ran into censorship issues and opened to mixed reviews. This is the director’s third film after the critically-acclaimed Cuckoo (2014) and Joker (2016).
